Ingredients
- 4 slices oroweat Country Buttermilk Bread
- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 pinch salt
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Maple syrup
- Vanilla icing
- Strawberry preserves
Instructions
- Cut each slice of bread into 4 strips.
- Combine eggs, milk, vanilla and salt in a bowl and whisk together.
- In a separate bowl, mix together cinnamon and sugar.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Dunk bread in the egg mixture and place in the skillet.
- Cook, turning frequently, until each side is golden brown.
- Once cooked, immediately place in bowl with cinnamon sugar mixture and roll to coat.
- Serve with maple syrup, vanilla icing and strawberry preserves on the side.
